About

My name is Dickon and I have been a theatre actor for over 25 years. I have been lucky enough to perform in over 40 professional theatre productions; including several West End shows, seasons at the Royal Opera House, national and international tours. When between shows, I have, like most actors, worked a second job. In 2008, I started working for the marketing and business development department of a FTSE 100 wealth management company in the city. A company I still do bespoke coaching work with today. Over the years, I noticed that there are skills that I learned as an actor that could be successfully transferred to the business world. The ability to add gravitas and ‘hold a room’ from a physical presence perspective, how to use the full range and timbre of the voice to keep prospects and clients engaged and interested in your services. How to combine an understanding of both physical and vocal techniques to deliver memorable and successful presentations. Understanding how breath can help control adrenaline, can keep you calm and focussed, when confronted with high stakes situations and decisions. In essence, learning how to give a more confident, more impressive, performance of you.

As an Executive Performance coach, I have worked within several industries, from Finance to Law, Data Analytics to Fashion. I work both with groups and on a one-to-one basis, from the C-Suite to trainees. The sessions are entirely tailored to suit both the situation and the individual’s needs.
